Before publishing other post, I would like to give thanks to HappyHacker(dotorg), their website is down by now. But I really spent so many hours reading the articles in their website. It gave me inspiration to website design and development. I found archive screenshot of their website in archive.is.
I am curious what happened to Carolyn Meinel now and what happened to happyhacker.org. I never finished reading the “Guide to (mostly) Harmless Hacking” due to financial difficulties and lack of resources. About 17 years ago, I can’t afford to have unlimited internet connection. I remembered I used to buy a prepaid card (100php) for internet load. This prepaid card will let me surf the internet for 3-4 hours I think and consumable in three days. But during, 12 midnight untill 7 am, it is free to surf with this card.
So I needed to stay awake from midnight till morning so I can surf, learn and discover new things. I did this repeatedly. I was hungry learning the codes. We communicate with using mIRC and Yahoo messanger before.
While writing this article, I found some website like attrition.org saying that Carolyn Meinel is fraud, a charlatan, and a self-proclaimed hacker. This website has it’s own story too. I have no idea what happened. But all I know is that HappyHackerdotOrg gave me inspiration to learn coding websites.
It was really fun learning how to build websites. Since I do not have formal education about website coding, before all I know is to google “How to hack website”. Then I found this website hackthissite.org. For it was really fun taking the challenges.
