This next article is for my  response to the question “How to be a WordPress Virtual Assistant for beginners?”

I worked as a Web Sales Consultant for a company based in Makati, Philippines in 2010. This was my first and last time hired in a corporate level. My intention was to be a web developer and I did not expect that Web Sales Consultant job role focus primarily in dealing with clients. After a month, I was also¬† assigned as an Assistant Project Manager which gave me opportunity to sneak to the development team. I knew the basic of HTML and CSS and I used to create Flash animation using SwishMax. No kowledge with PHP yet. And I can’t remember how exactly I found that the dev team were using WordPress.

On that time, I had zero knowledge in WordPress. I googled WordPress and found it’s website. I was puzzled. What’s this? I read the introduction yet I still didn’t understand it. I found the download link of the CMS and extracted the file but I found out that it can’t just be installed locally. Instead of  feeling irratated, the feel of curiosity run in my blood. Haha

There are lot of free tutorials around the web on how to install WordPress. But during those time, the lessons I found  seems like a puzzle to me. I needed to research for every term I didn’t understand. Piece by piece… I was able to to install WordPress locally.
